Quick Healthy Chili
I may not be a fan of cooking but I am a fan of quick healthy meals that my family enjoys! I am also not a fan of finding recipes online that require me to read twelve pages prior to the blogger sharing the recipe, so if you are like me I hope you appreciate me keeping this short and sweet! I am excited to share this easy delicous recipe with you!
Ingredients:
1 pound of grass fed lean ground beef
1 can of no salt added black beans
1 can of no salt added kidney beans
1 can of no salt added cannellini beans
1 can of fire roasted tomatoes (low sodium)
1 can of tomato paste
1/2 cup or 1 cup of water depending on how thick you like your chilli
1/4 cup of chili seasoning
1 Tbs garlic powder
1/2 tsp of pink himalayan salt
1 tsp of onion powder
1/ tsp of smoked paprika
1/2 tsp fresh ground peper
1 tsp of cayenne ppper
1/2 Tbs. cumin
1 tsp of avocado oil
Okay, now lets get dinner ready. Pull out your crock pot and a pan to brown your grass fed beef. Use the avocado oil to cook your beef in and as that is cooking you can start to add everything to you crockpot. I rinse all the cans of beans very well, then add them to the crockpot. I then add the can of tomato paste, fire roasted tomaotes followed by the water and then all of the spices. I stir it well and then once the ground beef is cooked all the way through I add that to the crockpot and mix everything well once again. I set the crockpot on low for 6-8 hours depending on when we will eat. Now when you get home from a long day a healthy hot inexpensive dinner will be ready for your fam!
We love dipping our food in this house so when we have chili plantain chips or torilla chips are usually a staple. We also love adding sliced avocado, gaucamole or plain grass fed yogurt on top.
This makes 6 servings!
