5 Ingredient No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Bars

I can not wait for you to make these and savor them. They are so easy to make and will satsify your sweet tooth in a healthier way verses grabbing a processed package from your pantry that loaded with chemicals and makes you want to crave all the things. Plus they are gluten + dairy free.

Lets grab the ingredients!

Base:

1 cup of Organic Almond Flour

1 cup Organic Peanut Butter

1/4 cup Organic maple syrup

Chocolate Top:

1 cup dark chocolate chips (dairy + gluten free)

1/2 cup Organic Peanut Butter

1 Tablespoon of Organic Coconut Oil

Lets make them! Mix the three ingreidents for the base. Grab a glass pan and line it with parchment. paper. Now you can place the base over the parchment paper. Then smooth it out so its even. Then place the 3 ingredients for the topping in a pan over your stovetop and melt the three of them together until smooth. You can pour this over the base and then stick in your freezer for at least an hour. I would wait about 15-20 minutes prior to slicing them so it makes it easier and the top wont crack as you slice them. Don't go yet okay? Keep reading because I want to share some more information that I hope will help you whether you are looking to lose wieght or maintain your current weightloss. If you are all set then happy no baking and enjoy the bars!

The last thing I wanted to do as I lost 60 lbs and have maintained that loss for many years on my wellness journey is feel deprived. I love food especially sweets but I knew that the processed packaged foods I was use to eating to satisfy my sweet tooth and nightly cravings with needed to go.  Why? Because they were loaded with chemicals, making my sugar cravings feel out of control ( I could never just eat one) and even though in the moment I enjoyed what I was eating I never felt great afterwards.

I wanted to learn how I could change this. I wanted to lose weight and maintain that weight loss but more importantly feel incredible within without feeling deprived.  I remembered asking myself was this actually possible and then quickly changing that thought to- I will figure this out.  Once I did I could not wait to share with other women how to do this to.

First it starts with learning how to actually fuel your body properly. You need to make sure you are eating enough food especially when it comes to protein, fiber, healthy fats and healthy carbs throughout your day. Why does this matter?  You want to feel full and satisfied verses starving because you are restricting through out the day then getting to the end of the day finding yourself wanting to eat all the things and then going to bed not feeling so great and then guess what we end up doing? Repeating this cycle over and over again. I was there so many times it’s not even funny. Does this sound familiar to you?

It’s also really important you are getting enough sleep.  Have you ever noticed on the days you didn’t sleep well the night before that you are craving all the things (typically sugary carbs)and not eating your best? This is because the lack of sleep suppresses leptin, a hormone that regulates fat storage and calories burned while triggering ghrelin, a hormone that drives hunger. So making sure you get yourself in a solid sleep cycle matters for your wellness journey especially when it comes to weight loss and maintaining it. There is a great study that was done that will go into further detail about this: https://www.mdvip.com/about-mdvip/blog/junk-food-cravings-weight-gain-associated-sleep-deprivation

I know this world we live in has overcomplicated how to lose weight and maintain it. It is also confusing and overwhelming the heck out of many of us. I am here to change that. If you want to uncomplicate it and truly understand what will work best for you let me know. I would love the opportunity to work 1:1 with you!
